Each week we will be featuring a vendor from Farm Market so that you as the consumer can have a better idea of whom and where your products are coming from.
This weeks vendor will be Perrys' Farm. Perrys' Farm has been bringing vegetables to the Norman Farm market for 31 years. Charlene Perry has done most of the selling through the years with her hisband Richard and 4 children helping to plant, pick and prepare products for market. The children are all grown and have "town jobs", but still help out when needed. Early in the season, Charlene sells tomato, eggplant and pepper plants. By the middle of May she begins to have greens including arugula and lettuces. Soon radhishes, cucumbers, onions, many varieties of squash and potatoes follow. In the hot summer time comes tomatoes, hot & sweet peppers, eggplant, corn, and melons. In the fall pumpkins and decorative squash and gourds are added to the summer crops.
