NORMAN FARM MARKET
A Cleveland
County Fair Board sponsored event AND Oklahoma’s
oldest farm market, the Norman Farm Market
officially opened for its' 28th season on
Sat., April 5, 2008, and will close for the season on Wed., Oct. 29, 2008. Open each Saturday and Wednesday
from 8 AM - 12 noon, Norman Farm Market offers
farm fresh plants, produce, Oklahoma honey and much
more, directly from the Norman
Farm Market vendors' gardens, farms and greenhouses
to your homes and businesses. Find out more about

The dark green tags
are for vendors that have “Homegrown” produce. This means that the
vendor has grown their own produce.

The light green tags
– Oklahoma Grown - are for vendors that have purchased produce from a
neighbor or an Oklahoma farmer.
-
The white tags are
used by vendors that purchase produce from retailers. The majority of
them go to the Dallas Market to purchase their produce which has been
grown by their local farmers. Vendors must put the place of origin which
the produce was grown.

The yellow tags are
for vendors with plants, herbs, transplants, etc.

APRIL-
Asparagus, hothouse tomatoes, greens, lettuce, radishes, spinach, herb and
vegetable plants, flower bedding plants.

MAY-
Asparagus, hothouse tomatoes, greens, lettuce, radishes, spinach, herb and
vegetable plants, flower bedding plants, freshly cut basil, cucumbers,
beans, onions, strawberries, peas, beets, potatoes, yellow and zucchini
squash.

JUNE-
Blackberries, peaches, blueberries, potatoes, onions, summer squash,
cucumbers, black-eyed peas, tomatoes, peppers, okra.

JULY AND
AUGUST- Wine & table grapes, peaches, nectarines, okra, tomatoes,
peppers, eggplant, sweet corn, melons, peas, cucumbers, squash.

SEPTEMBER AND
OCTOBER- Greens, summer and winter squash, peppers, sweet potatoes,
melons, cucumber, eggplant, okra, pansies and
other fall bedding plants, pears, pumpkins, straw, corn and gourds for fall
decorating.

SEASON- Honey, herbs, cut flowers, trees, shrubs, hanging baskets,
perennial and annual plants.
